Hi,

I am looking for a response. I have started a series of drawings and,
hopefully paintings, which I would ultimately like to exhibit. I am busy
working on my third picture and hoping to have a series of eight. This one of them.

Is there any one else working on art who would also like to exhibit?

Could any one suggest a venue? As this is a Creative Link I thought of
having it on the church property. What do other people think of this?

Obviously we would need permission from Urban Life - would they be
interested in hosting us?

I was thinking of having the exhibition sometime in September which would
definitely give us enough to get a body of work together. Even if one had
only one or two pictures. If there were enough of us to represent it
would be a very exciting project.

I am eager to hear people's thoughts on this. Would you be keen to exhibit?

Please advise, Michael du Plessis.

Called for a purpose

We read through Exodus last week as a church and I thought that the account of the building of the tabernacle was awesome! God sees creativity as an important tool for building the Church and he has given the creative people who he has chosen for the task special gifts and abilities by his Holy Spirit!

My prayer is that those in Urban Life who are skilled in and passionate about creative arts will come together in building the Church, declaring the glory of God and making him known to the world!

"Then Moses said to the people of Israel, See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer." Exodus 35:30-35
